More than 30 UNISON Home Care members took to the streets together with other members of the branch to protest at the Council's decision to privatise 65% of the service.

In just two hours almost 2,000 members of the public signed our petition to Save Home Care Services.  It is clear that the public do not want a private Home Care service and we were left in no doubt about the anger people feel regarding the Council's decision.

We intend to deliver our petition at the next Council meeting and will continue our campaign to Save Home Care Services and protect our members' jobs.  Please support us by writing to your Councillor to let them know how you feel about the decision.  You can get a model letter by contacting the branch office on 01709 376933.
