Following the UNISON NJC Committee and the NJC Trade Union Side meeting, it was agreed to put an actual figure of 50p for bottom loading the claim rather than a substantial increase.  the NJC pay claim was therefore agreed as: -

6% or 50p, whichever is the greater, with a view to making progress to a bottom rate of £6.75 an hour.

This allows us a clear focus on pay for our campaign this year.  It was also agreed to submit a separate set of proposals on terms and conditions to the employers.
