Protest at the G20 this Saturday 28 March 2009 in central London
Unison is urging all members to support the protest in advance of the G20 summit of world leaders in London this weekend
The "Put People First" demonstration will demand action on jobs, justice and climate change.
Dave Prentis Unison General Secretary said yesterday
"In just under a week leaders from around the world will meet in London for the G20 summit, pledged to find solutions to the world's economic problems, to poverty and to climate change.
The G20 demo on Saturday is where we can make our demands heard. I will be speaking from the platform in Hyde Park and I want to see a mass of UNISON flags and banners in front of me.
We must tell governments around the world to turn their attention away from bailing out the bankers, towards support and help for working people."
Coach places are still available and should be booked through the branch office. Coaches leave from Rotherham Sheffield and Doncaster and members can travel from the point that suits them best.
The Rotherham coach leaves from the Mecca on Corporation Street at 7:00 am on Saturday morning.
